Harvard study confirms oil as new ‘superfood.’
Due to medical advances and better hygiene measures, we are getting older. But as we age, the risk of developing dementia also increases. The good news is that you can do something about it!
In addition to exercise and maintaining social contacts, olive oil is a new “superfood.” A study by the elite Harvard University confirms that olive oil can reduce the risk of dying from dementia by 28 percent. What it takes: just half a tablespoon a day.
U.S. scientists studied 90,000 U.S. citizens for three decades for their research. For the first time, they established a positive correlation between olive oil and the mortality rate of people living with dementia.
The miracle effect of the precious drop: “Some antioxidant compounds in olive oil can cross the blood-brain barrier and may have a direct effect on the brain,” explains study author Anne-Julie Tessier.
Previous studies already confirm a positive effect of the precious oil on reducing heart disease.
